The CLASS Media and Moving Image (MMI) initiative seeks an energetic, idea-driven student collaborator to grow and manage social media communications for MMI. This student should be a good writer, good at bridging student and professional communities and language, and be able to work independently and stay on schedule. The student will work closely with MMI Chair, Dr. Karen Fang, as well as the MMI Graduate Fellow, planning, writing and posting social media communications on a variety of topics, including MMI Programming Funds, upcoming events and media studies courses, and publicity and features regarding the current and past MMI Student Prize Competition.
This is a part-time (10 hours a week), hybrid internship that qualifies for class credit.
Qualifications
Strong writing skills
Social media savvy
Initiative and ability to work independently
Students should have already completed at least one year of classes at UH campus
