The Office of Enrollment Services at the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts provides support and guidance to prospective and current students pursuing their artistic and creative aspirations. Our admissions, scholarship, and enrollment staff are passionate about assisting students throughout their educational journey, from the initial inquiry to graduation. We offer comprehensive services, including recruitment, admissions counseling, audition support, and financial aid and scholarship assistance. SCHOLARSHIPS
In collaboration with each school and business area, our scholarship coordinator oversees the distribution of scholarships, fellowships, and graduate assistant funding across all KGMCA departments. Working closely with the UH Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, we ensure that students receive their designated funding directly to their UH accounts. Our office collaborates closely with scholarship committees across all regions to establish clear, consistent policies for both existing and new scholarship funds. We support the management of named endowments, as well as one-time and recurring donations, ensuring that each contribution is administered responsibly and in alignment with the donor’s intent. Our team is committed to helping students understand their financial aid packages and assisting them in navigating the complexities of tuition billing. Whether students have questions about funding disbursement, eligibility requirements, or adjustments to their financial aid, we are here to provide guidance and support.
CLASS SCHEDULING
Our class scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all academic courses offered by KGMCA in the university’s official class schedule. We manage course listings, maintain accurate scheduling details, and address any adjustments needed throughout the semester. In partnership with the Office of Student Success, we actively monitor enrollment trends and collaborate on modifying enrollment caps, assigning instructors, and facilitating student-specific permissions. This process ensures that students can register for the courses they need while maintaining a balanced and manageable class capacity for faculty and departments. Our goal is to provide a seamless scheduling experience that supports student success, allowing them to focus on their academic and professional growth while navigating their course requirements with ease.
ADMISSIONS & RECRUITMENT
Our Manager of Admissions leads recruitment and enrollment efforts for the university’s renowned undergraduate and graduate programs in music, theater, dance, and visual arts. They serve as a guide for prospective students navigating the admissions process, from initial inquiry through auditions, portfolio reviews, and final decisions. Working closely with faculty and department leaders, they help shape each incoming class by identifying talented, driven individuals who are ready to grow as artists and scholars. They also represent the university at local and national recruitment events, host campus visits and information sessions, and ensure the admissions process reflects both academic excellence and artistic potential. With a student-centered approach and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and inspiring community, the Manager of Admissions plays a key role in welcoming the next generation of performers, creators, and innovators.
