Why Minor in Latin American Studies?

The Latin American Studies Minor and Program (LAST) in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is designed to encourage study and teaching relating to this very important geographic and cultural area. The minor supports student success in business, humanities, social sciences, hotel and restaurant management, and can be applied to any field in which knowledge of Latin America is useful. Requiring 15 credit hours, our minor prepares students for the global and hemispheric connections that shape our city and world.
