The Issa B. Cook Family scholarship in Arab Studies was established in 2015. Funds from this scholarship are awarded to graduate students on an annual basis to sustain their research efforts throughout their time in the program. The scholarship honors the legacy of the late Issa B. Cook, who was a highly respected figure within the Arab-American community in Houston.
