Bryan Norton

Lighting & Sound Supervisor

Bryan Nortin (Lighting Designer) is the Director of Lighting & Sound Design at the University of Houston College of the Arts, and has been a freelance lighting and sound designer in theatre, dance, and musical productions for over 20 years. Previous lighting designs include A Texas Carol and Wizard of Oz at A.D. Players, Fleaven (World Premiere) at Catastrophic Theatre, But Not Goodbye and Intimate Apparel at Main Street Theater, and A Very Merry Pops with the Houston Symphony. Sound design credits include Violet, Unlock’d (Regional Premiere), and Striking 12 at Queensbury Theatre, Mistakes Were Made at Stages Repertory Theatre, The Light in the Piazza, A Number, Machinal, Third, and Homebody/Kabul at Main Street Theater, and The Food Network Challenge Live with The Food Network. He was also the Production Manager from groundbreaking through Grand Opening in 2021 for the Coppell Arts Center, which was named Gold Medal winner in the Dallas Morning News People’s Choice Awards Best Live Theater Venue category in 2022.
