University Statement on Canvas Outage

"After a disruption that affected thousands of schools across the nation, Canvas is now operational. The University is working with faculty to ensure students have other means to access course materials, and we are developing contingency plans for any finals that are scheduled to be delivered through Canvas, should there be further disruption. We are continuing to monitor the situation and coordinate with Instructure, the company that provides the Canvas LMS. We recognize this disruption is occurring during a critical academic period and appreciate the patience and flexibility of our students, faculty and staff."

Action Required: AI Cyber Security Training
Employees with access to UH computer systems must complete the required Artificial Intelligence Awareness Training for UH Employees and Appointed Officials by July 30, 2026. The training is now available in TAP through AccessUH.

Changes Coming to Pay-by-Phone Visitor Parking
Parking and Transportation Services will be introducing a new text-to-pay visitor parking payment system in the coming weeks. The change will affect visitor parking areas that currently use pay by phone.
