HHP Students Volunteer at HISD Special Olympics Field Day

HHP's undergraduate sport administration program students volunteered at the Houston Independent School District's (HISD) Special Olympics field days at Barnett Stadium in Houston. The event was jointly organized by HISD and Special Olympics Texas. HHP students enrolled in KIN4355 "Organization and Administration of Athletics" were on hand to help the more than 2000 students who participated in the 3 day event. Special Olympics field days are organized to provide athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and closely related developmental disabilities.
