HHP Sponsors: Great Strides 2013 - Cystic Fibrosis Walk.
The Department of Health and Human Performance sponsored the annual "Great Strides - Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis" walk on Saturday May 18th 2013 at the UH main campus. Hundreds of people of all ages came together as a community and walked through the beautiful UH campus to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Approximately 850 people participated in the Great Strides walk at UH and raised $877,000 to help support life-saving research, quality care, and education programs. Nationwide about 250,000 walkers participate each year and in 2012 they helped raise nearly $40 million.
