HHP Alumnus Dr. Andrew Abercromby set to begin a 14 day mission on NEEMO, NASA's underwater research laboratory.

HHP Alumnus Dr. Andrew Abercromby has been selected as a NEEMO-14 (NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations) aquanaut to work in the Aquarius habitat, which is 60 ft underwater about 4 miles offshore from Key Largo, Florida. 

Dr. Abercromby is a Project Manager with NASA's EVA Physiology Systems and Performance Project (EPSP)

Dr. Abercromby is a 2006 graduate of the Ph.D. program in Kinesiology and has been honored as a HHP Distinguished Alumnus in 2007.

In addition to being selected for a NEEMO project. Dr. Abercromby has also served on NASA's Robot Recon team, on the Pavilion Lake Research Project  and on the Haughton-Mars Project north of the Arctic Circle
